How to Rank High on Google
SEO

This section is mainly for providing SEO content for those unfamiliar with the SEO world.

1..Target the right keywords

First, you need to know what you want to rank for. Of course, you want to rank for content your top customers add to their search box. These are important keywords and you need a keyword research tool to determine which keywords are right for you to rank for.   Factors involved in determining the best content to rank on Google are:  • Search volume: Number of searches per month.  • Competition:

2.Analysis of Main Content

In general, there are four main types of content: teaching, business, marketing and referral. Now for SEO, your main focus is on content necessary for information. But even with your content search, you need to have a deep understanding of what  information people are looking for when they search for keywords.  For example, I'm collecting screenshots of some great websites and features and I'm looking for keywords for it.

  3. Write long content

about it  Key to rank high on Google? In-depth, long-form content relevant to the content you're targeting. Now, this is most obvious in blog posts, but you can also do this on landing pages.  For example, our free website rater was ranked #1 for the keyword "website rater". But when you swipe to the bottom of the screen, you'll find lots of comments in the form of FAQs.

  4. Do On-Page SEO

This is the basis of ranking in Google. Get all the values in my  on-page SEO report or  this video:  Here's your shortlist:  • Keyword placement: Make sure your keywords have at least two H2s in the meta title, meta description,  image Filenames, image alt text, URLs and of course which is the page body.  • Internal Links: Include links to this page from at least three  pages on your site.  • External Links: Add 1-3 links from page to  trusted page.  • Optimizing Meta Description: Keep it between 155-165 characters and tell readers what it's worth when they click through to your page.

How To Rank Higher on Google  OK, that's how you rank higher on  Google. But you've probably done all of these. Maybe you are already ranked high and you want to rank higher. If you are, keep reading.

 5. Targeting Long Tail, Questioning Keywords

Typically, keywords that hit the sweet spot in terms of volume and competition will be long-tail keywords, but long-tail  keywords Posts are a plus because they provide an opportunity to share. Higher-than-best results for overall, high-quality content in the "Elite" section. It has  32K searches like "social media marketing" (yo). WordStream is #1 and Sprout Social is #2. But it is the PAA segment that competes between these two values.

If the reader clicks on one of the questions, the page  that answers the question now ranks higher on Google than the second result.    You  never know which long-tail keywords Google will pick in the PAA, which gives you a higher chance of ranking higher than the 2nd result for high volume content.

6. Make Your Content Navigable

Google focuses on providing answers rather than listing on pages. This is where the term "zero click search" comes from, where users can get the information they need right from the landing page without having to click on any results. Not good for  us humans who want to drive traffic to our site, but if you can't beat them (Google is like the Goliath of the robots), join them and become Google's foundation of creation Answer This is the next best thing - and how to get higher.

The best way to improve this is to make your content easier to view. This allows Google to pull snippets from your content to generate keywords such as keywords, keyword categories, and  meta descriptions.

Here's how to do it:  • Use  tags. Do not open threads by increasing font size and weight; Make sure they are inside the  and  tags. For example, in our How to Write Your Business blog post, we have H2 clear words that say "How to Write Your Business" followed by H3 each step.  • Use a unique name. People should be able to get an immediate response just by looking at the title of the article.

It is as easy for Google to extract information as it is for readers. Therefore, use names, bullet points, bold, and lots of quotations. Chapter

7. Speak clearly Chapter  No,

it's not bad language. I mean, when  targeting a keyword question, even if it's a multiple choice answer, make sure you have  a clear phrase that repeats the question while giving clear answers.  Below we see the SERP for "How long should a blog post be in 2022". The reason Hook Agency got the Featured Snippets job is because it has the saying "Best blog length for SEO in 2022 is 1,760-2,400 words" and Wix (2nd after all) answered the question but again No Answer.   For keywords "how-to", you can end the post with a result that looks something like this: "To summarize, [how to do X] is like this: Next, provide a list of ideas or tips in the post. clarification.

 8.  Including content visualization , including images

on a page can help the page rank higher in various ways. First, it provides more engaging content and keeps people on the page longer; second, overall research results become more desirable; and third, it gives your image a chance to analyze the impact of the image.  But for  blog posts that you want to rank higher, graphics and blank images will not work. You need images that reflect the content, add value, and match the main content.  For example, not only is the SERP recommended for "January Marketing Strategy", you can see that Google prioritizes January ads and a screenshot of the landing page.

So when you're creating content based on keywords, do a  Google search and find out not only how important it is, but also what you need to see so you can follow the searchers' needs.  Now, if your blog template already generates a header image (like WordStream does), it's unnecessary to put it at the beginning of the post, move it  to the end of the post. Alternatively, see if your SEO plugin (we use Yoast) gives you the option to upload  social media images. The image will not appear in the blog post itself, but  will still be linked to the post and indexed in search results.

 9. Content

This is an easy topic to add to  blog posts that Google seems to really like. Often times, you will find that Google has added these links  to the meta description of your articles.

 10. Refine your meta title

Yes, you read that right. Your SEO title or meta title is the result of the actual SERP. Just like its name, Google doesn't give you much room for creativity. In most cases, a name similar to the first page that already has a name is a good choice.

So if you're going to use a lot of colored keywords in your H1 phrase (words that appear on the page itself), your SEO title should stick to 60 characters or less before key points and make sure it looks Popular, like  the year in the name. .

 11. Get Backlinks

Backlinks are links to your page from other websites and they are important in ranking.

  12. Examine Your Search Queries

Search Console will tell you which queries are leading people to find your page in search results and which queries are leading them to click. This can help you find more domains for your pages and more content to target for your pages.

If you accidentally rank for it, when your target keyword is intentional, you should rank for it.  The picture below is the "best advertising phrase" question that we're inspired by. If I see it as a keyword, I might want to write a blog post about it or use it as the title of an existing post.

13. How to Target  and Direct Video Content

Video content is increasingly appearing in SERPs and is sometimes your only chance to rank on the  topic. For example,  look at the SERP for "Advertising on Facebook". Between ads, People Still Asking, Facebook's organic results, and  videos, the "best" organic pages are really the last page results.

But if you create relevant video content, you'll likely rank as high in organic results as possible (because you won't beat Facebook).   Better still, the target shows content where the video ranks  higher.   Position

 14 Page  Moving

someone from  page 9 to page 4 is probably easier than moving from page 9 to page 4. Also, the  increase in traffic caused by the former is greater than the latter. If you have a large website, use an SEO tool like Ahrefs or Semrush to filter  organic content by site, see if you have a page that fits the design, and see if you  can voluntarily restore it.

 15. Do  SERP

Analysis  This is another idea where you need  SEO tools. If you really, really want to be on top for a  keyword, you need to do a SERP analysis to understand how it works and whether it's correct. For example, if I wanted to be on top of Small Business Ideas, I might find myself competing specifically with HubSpot, a page with 4,589 backlinks from 1,100 different sites.
